Almond Butter

Almond Butter is a great substitute for peanut butter and tastes just as good. It’s great spread on brown toast or, if you’re like me, straight from the jar.

You Will Need: (Makes 1 Jar of Almond Butter)

  • 300g Almonds, skin left on
  • A good drizzle of Maple/Golden Syrup

Method:

Roast the almonds at 190*C for 10 mins before allowing them to cool.

Place into a large food processor and whizz for a good 10 mins until the natural oils begin to come out of the almonds. Get it to the consistency you like, whether you prefer a crunchier butter or a smoother texture.

Add a good drizzle of maple or golden syrup to your Almond Butter and there you have it!
