Free From Kids Easy Peasy Mash

Kids will absolutely love these potato patties and they’re fun to make with older children as well. They’re completely vegan and gluten free, and a brilliant, healthy tea.

You Will Need: (Makes 6 Free From Kids Easy Peasy Mash Patties)

  • 3 Potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 Cup of Peas, boiled and cooked
  • 1 Carrot, boiled and cooked
  • 1/2 Lemon, juiced
  • Gluten-Free Plain Flour
  • Olive Oil


Once the potatoes are boiled and the veg is cooked, the next job is to chop the carrots into small pieces. Combine the peas, carrots and lemon juice with the potatoes and mix well. Shape the potatoes into patties and roll in the gluten free flour.

Brush the patties with olive oil whilst you get a griddle pan smoking hot. Cook the patties for 3-4 mins each side until brown.

Serve with salad.


Optional: You can also rocket or watercress into the mixture for extra vitamins. For every 2 potatoes used, use a small handful of each.
