Genuinely Good Student Recipes: Asian Style Kale
Kale is a brilliant superfood and relatively cheap in supermarkets. This asian style side is great with fried chicken.
You Will Need: (Serves 1)
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 2 Cloves of Garlic, chopped finely
- 1 Chilli, sliced
- Two handfuls of Curly Kale
- Small handful of Cashew Nuts or Peanuts, unsalted
- Soy Sauce or salt
Method:
Begin by heating up the oil in a pan over a medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the cumin seeds and fry with the garlic until the garlic begins to brown a little.
Add in the chilli and fry for a further minute or so, and then add the kale.
Turn down the heat and gently fry for a further 5 minutes until crispy.
Mix in the nuts and drizzle over the soy sauce or salt.
