Prawn Cocktail
This prawn cocktail is great as a gluten-free or pescatarian starter. It can also be made with crayfish tails, but my personal choice is prawns. Prawn cocktail is usually associated with a 1970s, boring start to a meal, but this take on it is totally delicious.
You Will Need: (Makes 4 Prawn Cocktails)
- 1 pack of Raw Prawns
- 1 Clove of Garlic
- Olive Oil
- 1 Chilli
- 3 tbsp Tomato Ketchup (try with the spicy Heinz version for an extra kick!)
- 3 tbsp Half-Fat Mayonnaise
Method:
The first thing to do is cook the prawns for the prawn cocktail. Gently heat up some oil in a pan and fry the prawns with the crushed garlic and sliced chilli. Cook for around 3 mins before leaving to cool.
Next, mix the mayo and ketchup together until a pinky colour and add the prawns, mixing well.
Serve the prawn cocktail with salad or in a tall cocktail glass.
