Quorn Spaghetti de Bologna
This Bologna sauce is made using Quorn instead of the usual mince meat. I’ve made this before, but added chilli and beans and made it into a ‘Chilli con Quorn’ for the next day, and nobody could tell that it wasn’t beef!
You Will Needs: (Makes 1 Batch to Serve 4)
- Olive Oil
- 1 Pack of Quorn Mince
- 1 Onion, diced
- 1 Carrot, diced
- 3 Cloves of Garlic, crushed
- Tomato Puree
- 1 Box of Passata
- 1/2 Pack of Mushrooms, diced
- 300g Gluten Free Spaghetti
In a saucepan, fry together the onion and Quorn mince until the onions are soft.
Add in the crushed garlic and stir, before adding the carrots and stirring in a good dollop of tomato puree.
Next, pour in the passata and mushrooms, sprinkling over a tsp of oregano.
Increase the heat and simmer for five minutes.
Cook the spaghetti according to packet instructions.
Drain and mix together the sauce and pasta.
Serve with black pepper and basil leaves.
