Review: Alpro Soya +1 Year Onwards
Looking for a dairy alternative for your little one? Try this specially formulated soya milk from Alpro!
Many parents, once their children are diagnosed as lacto-intolerant, tend to panic about what the best milk substitute is, which one contains the most ‘goodness’ and calcium for their toddler. Is it rice milk, or almond milk, or is it Soya milk?
Well, I can happily say that I’ve found the answer at the bottom of a milk glass. It is this specially formulated soya milk from Alpro which has added iron, calcium and vitamins B1, B2, B12 (vital for those on a zero dairy diet) C, D and E. It is especially made for those toddlers from the age of one, but babies from six months can also have it as part of their diet. Per 200ml, it contains over 50% of their daily recommended calcium intake, and over 30% of their iron intake.
I asked mums and non-dairy fans about their opinions, and I was inundated with many ‘thumbs up’ from all over the place, some even saying they prefer it to normal soya milk (and one admitting that she buys it and doesn’t even have a child!) I personally love this soya milk as it is creamier and possibly naturally sweeter than normal soya, and is delicious both hot and cold.
