Review: Gluten Free Spaghetti from Sainsbury’s
The first gluten-free pasta which I tried was gluten free spaghetti from Sainsbury’s, and I think I prefer it to wheat pasta!
I bought this spaghetti having found it in the shop’s (rather small) gluten free section. It was roughly the same price as wheat spaghetti, and I was delighted that it didn’t contain egg either, making it vegan.
The packaging stated that it took the same amount of time as normal pasta, around 9 mins, but I felt that it perhaps needed a bit longer, another couple just to thoroughly soften it. The pieces stuck together as well, not breaking apart like usual, but it wasn’t a problem at all. Although the strands were fairly thin and short, breaking apart very easily once cooked into something to resemble tinned spaghetti strands, it tasted much better than normal spaghetti, being much lighter and tastier.
I would highly recommend this product to any of you gluten-free and vegan foodies out there. It was totally delicious and a big thumbs up from me.
