Genuinely Good Student Recipes: Brinner

Student Brinner (£1.20)

Brinner is underrated as a meal and god knows why – it’s the best type of meal known to man! Brinner is, as the name will tell you, when you have breakfast items at dinner time, and this meal is perfect for students. Minimal effort, maximum flavour.

You Will Need:

  • 1 Baking Potato
  • 3 Rashers of Bacon
  • 1 Large Egg
  • Veg, such as broccoli, kale, spinach, peas

Method:

Preheat the oven to 220*C.

With a fork, prick the potato and wash. Place in the oven for around 50-60 mins.

15 mins before your potato is ready to come out of the oven, begin gently frying your bacon in a non-stick pan.

Whilst your bacon is cooking, boil a pan of water and cook your veg for around 10 mins.

Keep checking on the bacon to make sure it doesn’t burn.

Once bacon is cooked to your liking, remove from pan and using the bacon fat, fry your egg.

Serve your bacon, egg and jacket potato with your veg and sprinkle with a little black pepper.
