The Best Gluten Free Bread
With tonight’s Great British Bake Off being all about bread, I thought I’d share the best gluten free bread recipe. This is a basic recipe, but don’t be afraid to add extra ingredients, such as rosemary, sundried tomatoes, cheese, black olives… The list is endless!
You Will Need:
- 1/2 a Pint of Milk
- 2 Free Range Eggs
- 450g Gluten Free Plain Flour, plus extra for dusting
- Pinch of Salt
- 10g Dried Yeast
- 3tbsp Olive Oil
Preheat the oven to 200*C.
Warm the milk in a pan over a low heat for a few minutes. You don’t want it boiling, but just warm enough for the yeast to react.
In a bowl, crack the eggs and stir in the warm milk.
In another bowl, combine the flour, salt and yeast and mix.
Mix together the dry and wet ingredients until fully combined.
Add the olive oil and bring together with your hands. Add more flour as needed if it’s still too sticky.
Place onto a greased baking tray and cover with a damp tea towel to rise for around an hour or so.
Once risen, bake for around half an hour, until cooked through and golden on top.
