A great little starter for a vegan dinner party, and very easy to make. I usually make the sauce in advance and then heat it up ready to serve, and it’s also great with left over potatoes from the night before.
You Will Need: (Serves 6 Patatas Bravas as a tapas starter)
- Olive Oil
- 4 Garlic Cloves
- 1 Onion
- 1 Red Chilli
- 1.5 tsp of Cayenne Pepper
- 1.5 tsp Smoked Paprika
- A Splash of Smoked Tabasco Sauce
- 400g Chopped Tomatoes
- 1kg Potatoes
Begin by boiling the potatoes. Quarter the potatoes and boil for 15-20 mins until soft. Drain and leave to cool.
Heat up the oil in a pan and fry up the onion until it’s soft. Add in the chilli, garlic and spices and stir.
Add in the Tabasco and chopped tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Cook for 20 mins until it forms a paste-like consistency.
Drizzle some oil in a pan and fry up your potatoes with a little of the cayenne and paprika for extra spice.
Place your potatoes into a tapas bowl and pour the paste on top.
