Vodka, Basil and Strawberry Sorbet
I was never too sure about a sorbet until I came across this beauty of a desert. The ingredients go together perfectly, and the vodka adds some extra pizzazz to this Vodka, Basil and Strawberry Sorbet.
You Will Need:
- 1 Punnet of British Strawberries
- 150g Golden Sugar
- 1 Lemon, juiced
- 1 tbsp Vodka
- 4 Fresh Basil Leaves, torn into small pieces
Begin by blending together the strawberries, sugar, lemon and vodka until smooth.
Stir in the torn basil.
Pour the mix into an ice cream maker and churn. (You could also just place the mix into a tupperware box and freeze, uncovered. Give it a whisk every couple of hours to prevent ice forming, and then freeze overnight).
Place into the freezer and freeze overnight.
